The Raising and Giving Society at the University of Salford held a week of fundraising activities this week to raise money and awareness for various charities.
The week kicked off with a fashion show held at the student union’s Atmosphere cafe.
The event helped to raise money for the Mines Advisory Group (MAG), a charity that remove unexploded landmines and UXO from land and destroying them.
This enables communities to grow more food and make a better living, access better health services, and know that their children can walk to school in safety.
MAG’s work has helped more than 16 million people in conflict-affected communities in over 40 countries since 1989, giving them greater safety and the opportunity to rebuild their lives, livelihoods and futures.
